    Lovely and Serene

“Beautiful property and conveniently located. Sonia and Nick were very friendly and accommodating, the Shed was comfortable, spacious, clean and warm. A lovely retreat, where you can unwind, watch the kangaroos in the morning and dusk without distractions. Thank you for such a lovely stay!”

“My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed this stylish place for our one year anniversary. We especially loved the fire pit and the free standing bath which was a nice touch, along with the exceptional interior design. It was a short distance away from the town, the wineries as well as Hamelin Bay where we enjoyed the sunset. I highly recommend this for anyone visiting Margaret River.”

Retreat to an Owl Friendly Refuge

“The Margaret River Retreat is our first accommodation venue to become an Owl Friendly Hero, following an approach by owners Sonia and Nick Edwards asking how they could help the cause. They were already responsibly managing rodents themselves, which goes hand in glove with their recent Ecotourism accreditation, and are now getting the owl friendly message out to their guests. The Retreat forms part of an important West-East wildlife corridor from the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge to the hinterland forest, with extensive National Park habitat to explore in the vicinity. From our experience, all of our nocturnal birds are present including Masked Owls.”

    Family-friendly・Thoughtful amenities

“This place is stunning!!! The bed was heavenly,  almost didn’t want to get out of it. Best of all they knew it was my 10 year old sons birthday and they left him a cute little surprise on his bed. The look on his face was the icing on the cake for us. Thank you.”

    Fantastic Stay

“We had the most fantastic relaxed weekend at Margaret River Retreat staying in one of their studio rooms. The facilities were great and waking up to the beautiful view and quietness was divine. We can’t wait to stay again”

A must if you are in the region of Margaret River

“It was the most beautiful campsite where we were in Western Australia. In the middle of nature, but the comforts of a hot shower, a barbecue station, a small bistro. There is enough space so you can sit undisturbed with a glass of wine, enjoy the sunset and watch the kangaroos. The owners are lovely, uncomplicated and help with what you need. We extended our stay there because we felt so comfortable. Conclusion: If you ever be in the region of Margaret River you have to stay there and enjoy little break form everyday life.”

    A Hidden Gem

“Margaret River Retreat is a hidden gem and a peaceful haven for anyone seeking an escape from the daily grind! We enjoyed 3 nights with our 2 children glamping in one of the spacious and luxurious tents. The owners really go the extra mile to ensure everyone is comfortable. The property is equipped with a kitchen, a number of bathrooms and a trampoline for the kids to make the camping/glamping experience easy. What really sets MRR apart though is the little details: the water is filtered rainwater, the beautiful artisan linens used on the beds, natural handmade soaps. These are the things which make an escape truly luxurious in my eyes. The property also has a store with a curation of sustainable, local treasures and a lovely cafe’ serving delicious, wholesome food and organic coffee. Thanks for looking after us so well MRR!”
